Men's Tennis Team

The CSU Men's Tennis team is hosting the NCAA Southeast-2 Men's Tennis Regional at the Blackmon Tennis Center this Thursday through Saturday (May 6-8). This is a first for the Men's Tennis program to host a regional on their home court. The Cougars are making their 11th overall NCAA post-season appearance with 2010 being their third consecutive invitation.

The Cougars are 16-4 on the season and finished second in the Peach Belt Conference to top ranked Armstrong Atlantic. The Men's squad  had a 12 match winning streak before falling to AASU in the PBC Tournament Finals.

The 10th ranked Cougars will be hosting Lander University, Lincoln Memorial University, Augusta State University, USC Aiken, and Georgia College in the regional. Five of the six teams are ranked in the top 30 teams in NCAA Division II.

"We play in one of the strongest regions in the country, so there will be great tennis played in every match. We hope that our students, faculty and staff, and the community come out and enjoy what will be a great competition. Hopefully we can play well enough to win and advance," said Coach Evan Isaacs.
