Columbus State Athletic Training Staff Honored by Peach Belt Conference

Augusta – The Columbus State athletic training staff was named the 2010-2011 Athletic Training Staff of the Year in the Peach Belt Conference. 

“Our staff is truly humbled and honored to receive this award,” said head athletic trainer Julio Llanos.  “Our conference has a long history of talented athletic trainers who provide excellent medical care to their respective student-athletes therefore making this award that much more special for our institution.”

The Peach Belt Conference made a presentation to Llanos at the Peach Belt Conference Basketball Tournament in conjunction with March being Athletic Training month.  Llanos along with assistant athletic trainer Jared Sandler, graduate assistant Katie Cardinal, graduate assistant Tracy Greaves and graduate assistant Kelli Seremet make up the CSU athletic training staff.  Serving as the head team physician is Dr. Champ Baker, Jr.
