Courtney McQuaker enters her first year at Columbus State University in the multi-faceted role of Assistant Athletic Director of Operations.  Her responsibilities include managing the business affairs and annual operating budget for the entire Athletic Department, as well as supervising numerous varsity sport operations.  In addition, she will be responsible for the data collection of a number of audits for not only the university, but the NCAA as well.   Courtney will work closely with the Athletic Director and staff to ensure the success of Athletics' day to day operations. 

Prior to her new role at CSU, Courtney served as the Director of the Hughston Athletic Training Fellowship Program; a graduate athletic training program and joint venture between Hughston Hospital, Columbus, The Hughston Clinic, P.C., and Columbus State University.  The Program grew considerably under Courtney's direction providing one-on-one sports medicine coverage utilizing up to 21 athletic trainers and covering 24 schools in and around Muscogee County upon her departure; the largest coverage to date since the program's inception in 2001.  In addition to her work with the Fellowship, she was responsible for the management of medical coverage for a variety of athletic events within the community through Hughston Hospital, Columbus' Athletic Training Outreach Program.            

Courtney received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training from Troy (State) University in Troy, Alabama.  Upon graduation, she was a recipient of The Kenny Howard Athletic Training Fellowship in Auburn, Alabama and graduated from Auburn University with a Master of Education in Exercise Science, emphasizing Motor Development and Sport Psychology, as well as a minor in Sports Management.  During her graduate studies, she worked directly with The Hughston Clinic, P.C. - Auburn and Notasulga High School, specifically.

Courtney is certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (BOC) and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).  She is married to Jamie McQuaker, Columbus State University alumnus and former member of the Golf Team, playing under Head Golf Coach Mark Immelman.  They have two sons, Asa James (born September 2007) and Luke Daniel (born November 2009).
