Olivia Jarrell was named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week on Monday.
The selection is the first weekly honor for the Lady Cougars this season and comes in the midst of a four-match winning streak for CSU.
Jarrell scored the game-tying goal for Columbus State in the 59
th minute on Tuesday night at Georgia College. The goal ultimately set up the Lady Cougars for a 2-1 overtime victory.
On Saturday, the freshman tallied a pair of goals in a 6-0 blowout win over Young Harris. The multi-goal effort was her second of the season after also netting two goals against Lynn in the season opener.
Jarrell now leads the Lady Cougars in goals on the season with six. Her total is currently tied for second overall in the conference and leads all PBC freshmen.
Heading into Tuesday's match at Georgia Southwestern, Jarrell has scored in three consecutive matches.
