Cougar Fans E-Mail List Being Revived

Columbus, Ga. -- Columbus State fans should begin receiving regular e-mail updates again almost immediately as the Cougar Fans List is being revived.  Technical difficulties with the web-based list have caused a lapse in e-mail notifications for fans and the Listserv list will fill the void until such time as the web-based list is fully operational.

The Cougar Fans List was the original e-mail list for fans who wished to receive regular updates about CSU athletics. The list was suspended in lieu of a web-based list around two years ago, but has been kept active for just such an occasion.

"We are glad to have a backup plan in place already for our fans while we get the kinks worked out of our new system," said CSU Assistant AD for Communication Mike Peacock. "This list was never taken out of play completely, and a lot of fans are already subscribed and will begin receiving messages immediately. We hope to have the web-based list working properly soon and will notify fans when that takes place."

For fans who have previously removed their addresses from the list and wish to re-subscribe, or for other fans wishing to subscribe for the first time, the process is easy. Just go to this link: http://listserver.colstate.edu/mailman/listinfo/cougarfans and fill in the information requested. The e-mail address will be immediately added to the list and fans will receive updates anytime they are sent out. 

The Cougar fans list is a secure, protected list and is safe for subscribers. The list will not be shared with any outside parties.
