Below is more information on each signee and also thoughts on each by Head coach Greg Appleton. Check back each day this week as more information is released regarding the 2010 recruiting class for CSU baseball.

Allen Skinner- RHP - Providence Christian Academy – 6'4, 165 lbs.

  • Tall, lanky right handed pitcher with tons of potential that will add depth to the Cougar pitching staff
  • Played under coach Adam Cantrell at Providence Christian Academy
  • Winner of "Chris Black" award given to the player who gets the job done most in the clutch
  • Also played for Team Elite under coach Brad Bouras

"The good thing about Allen is that he hasn't pitched a whole lot, mainly used as a hitter throughout high school and started pitching last year, so he has a fresh arm. We're extremely excited about him because he is kid with tons of potential. I think he can come in here and help us right away, but the thing about him is he is really going to be a good pitcher down the road for us. We're really happy that we signed Allen."

Seth Corbitt- SS - Thomas County Central High School- 5'10, 170 lbs.

  • Athletic shortstop with great range that will provide much needed depth up the middle for the Cougars.
  • Hit .355 with two homeruns, two triples, four doubles, 20 runs batted in to go along with 29 runs scored in his junior season.
  • On base percentage of .510 while slugging at a .539 clip his junior season, also went 14-14 on stolen bases.
  • All-Area Shortstop
  • Named to Top 100 in Georgia
  • Played under coach Chad Parkerson at Thomas Country Central High School.

"Seth is a very good athlete, with good speed, good hands, and an above average throwing arm. He also handles the bat very well. He is going to be a guy that comes in and adds to our athleticism and we're excited about signing Seth.  He really fills a big need for us at the shortstop position."
