CSU Cheerleading Tryouts Set for May 7-8 at Lumpkin Center
Columbus, Ga. -- Columbus State University cheer coach Jimbo Davis has announced the dates for tryouts for the 2010-11 cheer squads. The tryouts will be held on Friday and Saturday May 7-8 at the Lumpkin Center.
Those wishing to tryout must complete the following things and return back to Davis as soon as possible:
- The Information Sheet found in the packet download below
- Send two pictures of yourself (full length and head shot, does not have to be professional)
- Two letters of recommendation (principal, high school coach, all-star coach, teacher, pastor)
We will start our tryouts Friday, May 7, with a full workshop and interviews, as well as the physical exam. Final selection will follow on Saturday, May 8.
Tryout Information:
Anyone who is a full time student at Columbus State University or
has applied may try out. This includes incoming freshmen and
transfer students. Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and be free
of any academic or disciplinary probation. Acceptance to CSU must
be completed my July 1, 2010 to keep a place on the team. If
you have not yet applied and been accepted to CSU, prospective
students may easily apply on line at www.colstate.edu.
