Columbus – This week the Columbus State University Cheerleaders are preparing for the 2012 UCA Nationals on January 13-15, 2012 in Orlando, FL. The CSU Cheer Program will take their Small Co-Ed and Large Co-Ed teams as well as three partner stunt duos to this year's national competition.  The duos competing for Columbus State will be Tommy Goforth and Ali Anderson, Jason Riel and Chelsie Horton and David Bellew and Cassidy Drysdale.

To get ready for the competition, the CSU Cheerleaders will be having their last practice this Tuesday, January 10 at 8 p.m. in the Lumpkin Center. During this practice, the CSU Cheerleaders will be performing their Nationals routines before going down to Disney World. This will give the Columbus community an opportunity to see the hard work the CSU Cheerleaders have dedicated to their routines over the past several months. Please join them for Tuesday night's performance as they make their final preparations for this upcoming weekend's competition.

Last year, the Small Co-Ed Cheerleading team won the Universal Cheerleaders Association National Championship for their fourth National Championship in school history.  CSU had a superb showing in the partner stunt competition as well as Tommy Goforth and Ali Anderson won the National Championship.  Jason Riel and Chelsie Horton took home second place while Jon Lee and Cassidy Drysdale finished fourth in the event.
