Telesford Named to Peach Belt All-Conference Team
Aiken, S.C. -- Columbus State senior forward Chris Telesford was among 15 players named to the 2009-10 Peach Belt Conference All-Conference team on Friday night. The announcement was made Friday evening at the annual awards banquet prior to the PBC Championships on Saturday and Sunday.
Telesford, from Los Angeles, California, averaged 12 points and 8.8 rebounds per game in his senior season. He led the PBC with 11 double-doubles this season. He shot just over 50 percent from the field overall and was a 65 percent free-throw shooter.
Augusta State's Ben Madgen was named PBC Player of the Year for the second straight year, and his head coach, Dip Metress, was tabbed Coach of the Year. ASU's Daniel Dixon was named Defensive Player of the Year, while UNC Pembroke's Shahmel Brackett was named Freshman of the Year.
