Men's Tennis Selected for NCAA Tournament
Indianapolis, IN - The Columbus State men's tennis team learned its destination on Wednesday for the 2009 NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championships. CSU (16-5) will travel to Milledgeville to play in the six-team Southeast Regional #2, hosted by Georgia College & State. CSU faces the winner of Anderson (13-6) and Wingate (12-5). Host GC&SU (14-3) will take on the winner of Limestone (12-6) and Lees-McRae (18-6). The regional takes place May 7-9.

Thursday, May 7
10 AM (Match 1) - Limestone vs. Lees-McRae
2 PM (Match 2) - Wingate vs. Anderson
Friday, May 8
10 AM (Match 3) - Georgia College vs. Match 1 Winner
2 PM (Match 4) - CSU vs. Match 2 Winner
Saturday, May 9
2 PM (Match 5) - Match 3 Winner vs. Match 4 Winner
CSU lost to GC&SU 5-4 in Milledgeville back on February 15.
The winner of the Southeast Regional #2 preliminary-round tournament will join 15 regional winners at the finals in Altamonte Springs, FL, hosted by the Central Florida Sports Commission and Rollins College, May 13-16.
Armstrong Atlantic State defeated Barry University 5-0 to win the national championship in 2008.
