Cougar Men's Tennis Team Ranked in Nation's Top 10 Entering 2010 Season

Columbus, Ga. -- The Columbus State men's tennis team has made major strides over the last few seasons and that has culminated in the Cougars' first top 10 national ranking in quite some time. CSU enters the 2010 campaign as the #8 team in the nation in Division II. CSU and top-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State join four other Peach Belt Conference teams in the national top 20.
In addition to the national ranking, the Cougars are ranked #2 in the Southeast Region behind AASU. Seven of the top 10 teams in the region are from the PBC. 
Senior Frank Suarez is ranked 16th nationally in singles and fifth in the Southeast Region. He is joined by Diego Motivar in singles at #13 in the region. Suarez and partner Christophe Noblet are ranked #8 nationally in doubles and #3 in the region in doubles. 
The Cougars open the 2010 season on Friday, February 5, 2010, as they host Tuskegee University at the Blackmon Tennis Center.
