CSU Rifle Team Defeats Tennessee-Martin in First Match of 2010

Columbus, GA- Columbus State Rifle hosted the University of Tennessee- Martin in the CSU Open Rifle Match on Saturday at the Army Marksmanship Unit on Fort Benning. CSU continued its winning ways in the new year outscoring UT-Martin in both small bore and air rifle. This victory extends CSU's winning streak to 6 consecutive match wins.

In smallbore, CSU won with a score of 2279 over UT-Martin's 2218.  In air rifle, CSU bested UT-Martin with a score of 2314 to 2269.. CSU Cougar Jonathan Hall led all shooters on the day with a smallbore score of 576 and air rifle score of 590. Total scoring for the match was CSU- 4593 and UT-Martin 4487.

CSU rifle will be back in action on January 30th at the Withrow Invitational hosted by Murray State University in Murray, KY.
