Columbus State Rifle Team Garners Postseason Awards

COLUMBUS – On the heels of hosting a successful NCAA Rifle Championship, the Columbus State rifle team picked up three postseason awards led by April Dunn's selection as a Second Team All-American in the Air Rifle discipline.  Also receiving accolades were Courtney Duncan and Jacob Brown who were named to the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association Academic Team.

Dunn is the first rifle student-athlete from CSU to garner All-American status and just missed out on receiving an at-large bid to shoot in the air rifle competition at the NCAA Championship.  She was the team's most consistent shooter all season long never posting a total under 583 while she shot a season best 592 versus Alaska-Fairbanks.

To be named to the Academic Team, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher.  Duncan is majoring Business Administration while Brown is a Criminal Justice major
