CSU Softball to Host "Meet the Cougars" Team Night

Columbus, GA - Columbus State softball coach Brad Huskisson has announced plans to host "Meet the Cougars" Softball Team Night on Saturday, October 24, at CSU. The event is free to the public and will begin at 6 PM.

Fans will get to meet and interact with the players, watch a short practice session, and then participate in interactive activities such as hitting against a CSU pitcher and a fan Home Run Derby competition.

Fans will also get to enjoy complimentary Chick Fil A sandwiches during the festivities.

"We want to get involved in the community and we want our fans to get to know our players and have some fun," said Huskisson. "This will be a relaxed, fun night for everyone to come out and enjoy a night at the ball park and have a little more interaction with our players than they would if they just attended a game."

The 2010 team will be introduced at 6 PM, followed by a short practice session. At 7:15, the fun will start as fans will be able to step in against a CSU pitcher and try to get a hit. The Home Run Derby will begin at 8 PM.
