Kristi Bullard Selected as Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week

AUGUSTA- Kristi Bullard was chosen as the Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week chosen by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

Bullard was brilliant for the Lady Cougar softball team this past week going 3-0, making two starts and appearing in all four games that CSU played in. She pitched a complete game two-hitter in game one against Carson-Newman allowing only one unearned run in the 3-2 Lady Cougar victory. In Sunday's conference opener Bullard pitched her second complete game of the week, this time a nine inning effort versus Francis Marion. The senior allowed two runs on six hits and she struck out six. In the second game of the doubleheader Bullard came in out of the bullpen and pitched three scoreless innings to pick up her second win of the afternoon.

For the week, Bullard pitched 20.2 innings, striking out 12 batters, limiting her opponents to a .147 average against her and had a miniscule 0.68 ERA.
