Thad Smith returns for another season as the character coach for the Columbus State University softball team for the 2011-2012 season.

Smith completed his undergrad studies at Columbia International University and then went on to obtain his master’s degree from Southwestern Seminary School in Fort Worth, Texas.

Having many years of experience, Smith is a well-known character coach around the state of Georgia. Including CSU softball, Smith currently works with the Ringgold High School baseball team and the Lakeview-Oglethorpe High School football team.

A native of Gainesville, GA, where most of his family lives today, Smith now resides in Midland, GA with his 11-year-old daughter and wife of almost 19 years. Smith is a pastor, biker, entrepreneur and a gear-heard. He enjoys fishing, boating, working, writing, the low country and South Carolina beach music.
