Columbus State University Athletics to Hold 7th Annual Cougar Classic Golf Tournament

COLUMBUS – The Columbus State University Athletic Department is excited to announce the 7th Annual Cougar Classic golf tournament.  Previously known as the Banking on CSU tournament, the Cougar Classic will take on the same goal of raising money to support the Columbus State Athletic Fund.  This fund is very important, as it provides the necessary allowances for student-athletes' scholarships, uniforms, equipment and all other needs associated with their academic and athletic success.

The Cougar Classic will be held on Columbus Day, October 11, 2010, at the Columbus Country Club. Entry cost is $400 per foursome. There will be a morning and afternoon shotgun start with separate cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place team members from each shotgun start group. Start times are expected to be 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Lunch is provided by Chick-fil-A of Peachtree Mall from 12:00-2:00 p.m.

All businesses and organization are encouraged to sponsor a hole for $250. Any size contribution or sponsorship is accepted and appreciated. We are glad to offer local businesses the chance to advertise next to their local university.
