Jill Walthall Embodies The Word: STUDENT-ATHLETE
COLUMBUS – Former Columbus State University midfielder Jill Walthall was featured by the NCAA for her academic and athletic commitment to take in the entire college experience.
Walthall was in a tough situation coming out of high school. She wanted to major in engineering and planned on attending Georgia Tech. Fortunately for CSU, Georgia Tech did not have a women's soccer program and she enrolled to play for the Lady Cougars while taking her core classes needed to pursue her degree. After three successful years wearing the red, white and blue, the 2009 All-Peach Belt Conference honoree has transferred to Georgia Tech to complete her undergraduate degrees.
Below is a link to see the video the NCAA has done showcasing Walthall and her story of being a true student-athlete.
