Lady Netters Blank Fort Valley State 9-0 on Friday
Columbus, GA -- Columbus State's men's and
women's tennis teams came away with a pair of sweeps over
Fort Valley State at the Blackmon Tennis Center on Friday.
Both squads blanked the Wildcat teams with the men and women
posting a 9-0 victory.
The CSU men took all three doubles points, losing just one
game in the process. The story was the same in singles as the
Cougars took all six matches dropping only five games.
In the women's match, CSU dropped just two games in the five
matches with the #6 match being a default. In singles, Tracy
Castillo (#2), Andrea Redrado (#4), and Lucy Bird (#5) all won
their matches 6-0, 6-0. Two CSU doubles squads posted 8-1 wins
and a default with the #3 match. They improve to 4-1 on the season.
The Lady Netters will face #10 Clayton State on Saturday at 12:00 Noon at the Blackmon Tennis Center.
