Toumi Named to PBC All-Academic Team
Columbus, Ga. -- Columbus State senior Hanane Toumi has been named to the 2010 Peach Belt Conference Women's Tennis All-Academic Team. The teams were announced recently by the league office in Augusta.
Toumi, a native of Mohammedia, Morocco, earned First Team honors on the team after posting a 3.54 GPA as a marketing major at CSU. Toumi spent most of the season as the doubles partner of Loriane Favoretto and the duo posted an 11-7 season mark overall and an impressive 8-2 mark against PBC foes.
To be eligible for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team's events and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.20 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution. The Peach Belt Conference Sports Information Directors oversee and select the teams.
