J.D. Evilsizer Named Division II Southeast Region Coach of the Year

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has named Columbus State Cross-Country head coach J.D. Evilsizer the 2009 NCAA Division II Southeast Region Women's Cross-Country Coach of the Year.  Coach Evilsizer led both the men's and women's teams to a highly successful 2009 season, culminating in the women's fifth straight Peach Belt Conference title and first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division II Championship meet.  The men saw their fourth straight PBC title and 2nd straight NCAA D-II Championship appearance.

Coach Evilsizer's next undertaking leads Columbus State into its first-ever track and field season, to begin in February, 2010.
