Columbus State University Athletics

Brian Evans joined the athletics department after many years of working in University Support Services at Columbus State University. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in athletics to the Sports Information and Media Relations Department.

Previously, he collaborated with Mike Peacock in Sports Information from 1999 to 2004 at Columbus State. From 2007 to 2009, he served as the official scorer for the Columbus Catfish.

He also worked at the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer newspaper on the sports desk and contributed as a correspondent for high school sports.

For the past nine years, Brian has served as the official statistician and bookkeeper for St. Anne-Pacelli in baseball and both boys' and girls' basketball.

Brian is a proud father of two children: a daughter named Gabriell, and a son named Bryson.
